    OBJECTIVES

    • To plan out a comprehensive and flexible learning system adjusted to the needs of our students, while ensuring their health, safety and over-all well being.
    • To equip educators with the necessary tools in properly and effectively delivering learning, especially to those who are most disadvantaged.
    • To build responsive educators who’ll be able to adjust to the learning needs of the students in this most extraordinary times.

    Pre-Enrollment Activities

    Conduct massive information dissemination regarding enrolment through social media, SMS that specifies schedule, procedure, confirmation of enrolment, observance of anti-COVID19 infection protocols, documentary requirements, official contact number/s, official email ad, official FB account, school hotlines, etc.

    1. Registrar’s Office shall be exclusive for CSI Personnel Only
    2. Information table is with plastic divider between Personnel and Student
    3. Four (4) enrollee chairs lined at 1 meter distance while lined for Registrar concerns
    4. Daily disinfection of Enrolment Area

    CSI CLIENTELE SAFETY

    REQUIRED WHEN ENTERING CSI PREMISES
    1. Disinfecting Foot bath for everybody when entering CSI
    2. Alcohol hand-washing at doorway
    3. Body temperature scan before entry
    4. Face Mask required at all times
    5. No student below 21 allowed

    Other CSI Protocol Relative the Covid-19 Pandemic

    1. Handwashing is encouraged and handwashing stations shall be provided for this purpose.
    2. Body Temperature shall be taken when entering the school. Those with body temperature reaching 37.5 degrees Celsius shall be sent home to rest, or anybody with said temperature is encouraged to just stay at home until fever subsides. Shall there be manifestations of Covid 19 symptoms, e.g. high fever, dry cough, body aches, or LBM, please endeavor to inform DOH for proper health intervention.
    3. Bringing of own drinking and eating utensils is encouraged.
    4. Disinfection of rooms shall be done daily, after every class schedule.(if face-to-face classes are allowed)
    5. The 1 meter Physical Distancing must always be observed.
    6. Coughing etiquette of covering mouth must be practiced.
    7. To avoid congestion, exit of students shall be designated separately for Boys and for Girls.
    8. Student mobility inside the school campus shall be limited to CR relief or securing food from the canteen. Student Loitering inside the campus or outside their classrooms is not allowed.
    9. Hugs, beso-beso, handshakes or any physical contact social gestures are not allowed.
    10. Aerated rooms and room temperature of 25 degrees Celsius is encouraged.
    11. For those using the computer laboratories, each lab user is required to have their own keyboard and mouse.
    12. Discarding any waste material should be disposed of at their properly designated trash bins.

    ENROLLEE RIGHT TO KNOW

    During Enrolment, interested students who wants to enroll at CSI will be:
    1. oriented on the Over-all System of Safety Standards that’s in-place at CSI.
    2. oriented on the Learning Management System that shall govern the over-all On-line Learning mechanisms, for their availment and use 24/7.
    3. oriented on when or how these Learning Modalities are to be implemented
    4. informed on what tools shall be made available to the students for their implementation.
    5. appraised on costs that may be incurred inline with these new Learning Modalities and tools.

    LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM STRUCTURE

    STUDENT CLASSIFICATION AS TO ON-LINE LEARNING CAPABILITIES

    1. E-capable (with either Laptop/Desktop/Netbook and with home internet or with only smartphones as e-learning equipment)
    2. E-not capable (with no e-gadget or no on-line access at all)

    LEARNING MODALITIES

    1. Face-to-face classroom set-up (if allowed, an hour per subject per week)
    2. Purely On-line Learning
    3. Flexible/Blended Learning – Mixture of Face-to-face and Online Learning
    4. Distance/Home-based Learning
    5. Commonality of these Learning Modalities – Learning Modules shall be provided per subject per student per week. Learning modules will also be made available 24/7 at www.csilegazpi.com or at Google classroom of each subject teacher.

    CSI LMS STUDENT GUIDE ((This shall be provided each student enrollee upon enrolment))

    Outcomes-Based Learning Module – to facilitate flexible/blended learning, online/off-line learning or distance/home-based learning, Outcomes-based Learning Modules shall be provided each student/parent each week until the end of the 1st Semester of SY 2020-2021. This Learning modules shall serve as the main guide of students/parents for better appreciation and understanding of their course. This shall also guide them thru their lessons that may be discussed and further reinforced thru online facilities like Google Classroom and Group Chat, Messenger or any online facility that may serve or reinforce the learning delivery.

    1. Before opening of classes, we shall provide each CSI enrolled student their Section and First-day-of-classes schedule. You may secure a hard copy of this schedule at the Registrar’s office beginning July 15 until August 15, 2020. You may also visit our website at www.csilegazpi.com to know your Section and your first-day-of-classes schedule.
    2. On the First day of classes each enrolled student shall be provided their first weekly outcomes-based learning module. Shall face-to-face classes not be allowed or shall students be prevented from securing them, their parents or an authorized representative may secure the module for him/her. Authorization Letter is required for this purpose.
    3. All Students are required to secure their Hard Copy of their weekly Learning modules. Schedules of securing them will be posted at our website. Should you miss to secure the hard copy of your Learning module for any given week you may browse or print copies from our website or the Google Classroom of your respective subject teacher. It is not recommended though to browse thru your module online for obvious reasons.

    MODALITIES OF COURSEWARE LEARNING DELIVERY – during enrolment, students shall be evaluated according to their e-learning access capability. They shall be classified as E-capable and E-not Capable. To accommodate all students regardless of classification, the following Learning Modalities shall be used and made available depending on student learning capability and need.

    1. Flexible/Blended Learning Delivery Modalities – for those with full capability of e-gadgets as Laptop, Desktop, Netbook, or high quality E-capable cellphones and similar net-capable gadgets, Flexible/blended Learning shall be the learning modality that may be employed. CSI has put in place a Learning Management System for this purpose. Shall face-to-face classes be allowed, it shall be used as complementary tool to augment online learning delivery. Must face-to-face classes be allowed, one hour/subject/week shall be the face-to-face classroom set-up at 20 students per class per classroom.

    Modules shall be provided free to students each week or shall, in cases where situations does not warrant the child/parent to physically secure the module, they shall be made available at our website or Google Classroom of their respective subject teachers 24/7.

    On-board/On-line schedule of Teachers shall be posted on our website but you may also update thru the Google Classrooms or GC’s of your subject teacher.
    Online availability of teacher discussions shall only be limited to Office Hours. Subject-teachers cannot be compelled to discuss or answer queries during their off-time/after onboard schedules. It shall be on your Subject-teacher’s discretion whether to discuss or answer student queries after their official online/on-board time. Office hours means 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. only.

    For those who may not have full Laptop/Desktop gadget capability of getting into Google Classroom and Group Chats shall be your mode of connectivity.

    1. Students are classified as E-not capable and who may not be able to provide themselves with technological gadgets or other physical requirements of e-learning, CSI shall make available Distance/Home-based Learning as the Learning Modality of choice.

    The E-not capable student shall likewise be provided the Learning Modules but on at only two (2) occasions per semester. First is for his/her 1st quarter study and second is for his/her 2nd quarter study. The student with distance/home-based learning arrangement will have to just endeavor on his/her self-studying capability. They shall be treated as “students studying at their own pace and time”. They will have to accomplish evaluation reports and shall take Term Evaluation Examinations too, (1st Quarter and 2nd Quarter evaluations) on a different schedule as those who are E/E2 capable classified. This Evaluation Reports and Term Examinations shall be the basis for his/her Grades computations at each end of Semester.

    SUMMARY

    Possible Obstacles of Online Learning Delivery:
    1. No Laptop/Desktop/Netbook/E-gadget
    2. Only Cellphone Available
    3. No available electronic gadget at all
    4. No Net Subscription/Load/Connectivity
    5. Readability/Comprehension due small fonts/Printability
    6. Parent/Student/Public Apprehension on Face-to-face learning
    7. New Normal on Travel (Barangay, City, Provincial, Fare, Passenger limit, Age group, exorbitant fees, etc.)

    SUMMARY

    Interventions:
    1. Weekly Face-to-face classes of one hour/subject/week of 20 Students per Class (if face-to-face classes maybe allowed)
    2. Outcomes-based Learning Modules will be provided free to each learner per subject per week
    3. On extreme cases, e.g. as extreme anxiety of parents, or if back to ECQ, face-to-face classroom set-up will altogether be sidelined in favor of either Flexible/blended learning or Distance/home-based Learning, wherein, only parents will be required to secure the weekly Outcomes-based Learning modules at CSI.
    4. Module distribution shall be on per section schedule per week and Output/Exercises done by the students shall likewise be will be submitted by the parent upon securing of the weekly Outcomes-based learning module.
    5. On extreme cases where a student is classified as E-not capable, Distance/home-based Learning shall be made available. He shall be given the option to study and be evaluated at a more flexible pace and time, but he still is required to secure Learning Modules per term.

    TEACHER CAPABILTY IN DELIVERING ONLINE LEARNING

    • Number of Senior High School Teachers – 17
    • Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR) Teachers – 17
    • Teachers with Laptop/Desktop – 17 (100%)
    • Teachers with home internet capability – 10 (58.82%)
    • Teachers with Cell Phones – 17 (100%)
    • Teacher oriented on using at least one (1) online platform of learning delivery - 17

    ONLINE LEARNING DELIVERY ASSURANCE

    ACCESS
    • CSI LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS), Established
    • Provision of Online Work Stations, per teacher, for Online Learning Delivery
    • Subscription of strong Internet Connectivity while having back-up Mobile Internet (75 Mbps , Converge) in case of problems with e-connectivity.
    QUALITY
    • Teacher updates on MODULE DESIGN (DepEd and CHED Format)
    • Provision of Weekly Outcomes-based module per student per subject, with evaluation tools
    • Teacher capabilities to work from home and to personally follow up students’ learning performance, especially disadvantaged learners.
    • Weekly face-to-face lectures(if allowed) at half classroom capacity while observing all IATF protocol, with Online classes as additional instructional learning reinforcement.
    GOVERNANCE
    • Weekly/Monthly evaluation and Positive/Negative feedback on Modular/E-learning student output and weekly student compliance to requirements.
    • Submission of weekly Outcomes-based Learning modules for evaluation and quality control before distribution or making available online.
    • Monthly Student performance report, especially of those who are not actively participating during online lectures.
    • Teacher evaluation on module compliance and student monitoring and giving plus point incentives to those who shows commitment and responsiveness to learning objectives.

    UNDERTAKING

    • Our Children’s over-all well-being is a continuous physical and psychological process with the spiritual as essential reinforcement for personal growth.
    • With physical health and safety as prime consideration, our learners psychological need can be effectively cultivated through continuously keeping their minds active.
    • If we can ensure the physical safety and mental growth of our learners and school personnel, with committed school administrators and a responsive education department who’s been in this profession since time immemorial, then by all means, blended/online/home-based learning are feasible and doable.
    • We cannot allow fear to govern and freeze us into inactivity, for not only will we be defaulting in our duties as educators, but we shall be left wanting in our responsibilities as parent.
    • We cannot rely on government aid for so long, and wait for some cure before action, for it is guaranteed physical and mental anguish for us and our family, shall we not act in ensuring the continuity of our living.
    We shall also seek God’s guidance, through prayers, for we are not all knowing.
